Exercise Physiology
Exercise Physiology is the scientific study of human movement, also known as Kinesiology. Kinesiology is such an important part of being healthy and our Exercise Physiologist specialise in improving health through exercise and physical activity.
At KC Health and Sports we believe movement is an essential part of building a strong and healthy body.
Our Exercise Physiologist will examine how well your cardiovascular, muscular and respiratory systems are influenced when exposed to acute and chronic bouts of exercise. Knowing how each client responds to short or long bouts of physical activity over time are key steps for developing a customised exercise program to help you reach a higher level of fitness and health.
Exercise physiology can be split into two main areas of specialisation: fitness and rehabilitation. Fitness can help professional athletes improve their performance or help people to lose weight and a rehabilitation focus seeks to provide health benefits to a client suffering from diseases, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. It can also help people who are recovering from injuries or dealing with chronic conditions, such as arthritis and lower back pain.
