Nutrition & Dietetics
Role of a Dietitian
Food plays a key role in our physical and mental health and wellbeing. We all have different health challenges so there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to food and nutrition. Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD) provide personalised nutrition advice and support.
Dietitians understand how nutrition impacts the body and use this knowledge to treat a range of conditions, which includes but not limited to Gastrointestinal diseases, Eating Disorders, Weight Management, injury nutrition, sports and exercise performance, and common chronic conditions such as Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Cancer. Trained in medical nutrition therapy, dietitians translate scientific nutrition information into dietary advice. They use specialised coaching strategies to improve wellbeing through lifestyle and diet changes.
Our Dietitian & Sports Dietitian Ali can provide individualised meal plans, skin fold assessments for body composition manipulation, and practical nutrition strategies that fit to your needs and lifestyle.
At KC, we believe nutrition forms an integral component of an individual’s health and performance. Whether you’re looking for that edge in your performance, or want to optimise your health and wellbeing, our Dietitian Ali can assist you.
Role of a Sport Dietitian
An Accredited Sports Dietitian has specialist knowledge in the field of nutrition for athletic performance, allowing them to formulate individual plans for recreational to elite level athletes that can assist them in meeting their health and performance goals. Whether you’re training for a competition, have a specific performance goal in mind, want to improve your body composition (e.g., reducing body fat or increasing your muscle mass), or even require assistance managing a chronic condition impacting your performance (I.e., Type 1 Diabetes or gastrointestinal issues), an Accredited Sports Dietitian can be an integral part in giving you that edge to your performance.
