RESTING METABOLIC RATE (RMR)

Resting metabolic rate (RMR) is the amount of energy the body burns during rest and the measurement is sometimes used as a benchmark for how efficiently your metabolism is working.

The RMR Report provides you with three main metrics including:

  1. The fuel sources your body uses during daily activities - divided between fat and carbohydrate - provided as a percentage. A good score would be 80% fat to 20% carbohydrate.

  2. Your metabolic health in comparison to norms for age and gender. 50% means your metabolism is NORMAL for your gender and age. A higher score means you burn more than normal and a lower score means you burn less.

  3. Your caloric requirements based on your metabolic rate and fitness goal with caloric recommendations for weight maintenance or loss.
